The more time I spend in La Paz the more I like it…we take the tender to dinner one evening and the bikes to the Malecon one afternoon.

The memorial to Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillips visit to La Paz in 1983. Evidently, the pearl in her crown is from La Paz.

I was sad to see that the Hotel Los Arcos was closed. This is where I stayed my first visit to La Paz (1984), but when you don’t pay your workers they go on strike…for 11 years! Finally, the building is set to go up for auction (in the near future) to pay the 110 million pesos in lost wages.

Later in the week we visit Banditos restaurant . It has a great BBQ…Larry liked his burger and my burrito was fantastic.
